Keller Strings specializes in the sales, rental, repair, and restoration of orchestral stringed instruments. The Keller Strings’ mission is to enhance and serve the musical community of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast with unique access to a complete and full service orchestral stringed instrument shop, offering professional service and sales of violin family instruments. Job Summary: This position requires autonomy, communication, computer, and organizational skills and is a willing part of the team working toward our common goal. Excellent customer service in the areas of sales and instrument rentals is required of all Keller Strings employees. Management of Rental Instruments including tracking, cleaning, and rental customer relations in the form of email marketing.
Position Description: Primary tasks include but are not limited to the following. Willingness to provide exceptional customer service, and a desire to sell. As a Customer Service Associate and Rental Instrument Manager with Keller Strings, you will be part of our team and will be trained in renting instruments, cleaning instruments, tracking instruments, selling accessories, and greeting customers via telephone and in person. Some of the qualifications we are looking for include a willingness to provide exceptional customer service, a desire to sell, and a positive professional attitude.
Job Requirements: Ability to multi-task in a sometimes fast-paced environment. Must be able to keep work area organized, and keep merchandise neat and organized throughout your shift. Ability to play an orchestral stringed instrument at any level.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Be Punctual, Responsible, Accountable.
- Be able to work Saturdays.
Ideal Qualifications Include
- Excel: > one year
- Customer Service in a Retail Environment: > one year
- Ability to play a violin, viola, cello or upright bass
Pay Structure
- Hourly Wage Range $16-$19. Commensurate with Experience.
- After 90 Day probationary period is completed, employee will be eligible for sales commission.
Hourly Requirements
- Part time from 15-20 hours per week.
- Must be able to work on Saturdays during business hours
