Albin Hums Violin Bow

Albin Hums Violin Bow is believed to have been crafted near 1926, making this bow nearly 100 years old!  It is not a copy, but an original from the well-respected bow-maker of the early 20th century in Markneukirchen. The stick of the bow is octagonal pernambuco, paired with Premium Siberian Stallion horsehair. The frog is made of ebony. Its slide and eye are made of abalone shell, encased by a gold ferrule and heel plate. The tip of the bow has the original ivory. Some time ago, the gold three-part bow screw was replaced with a sterling silver three-part bow screw. Sadly, this devalued the bow however did not decrease it’s ability to make your violin sing.
