Description

Adolf Deichsel -1930 Berlin 4/4 Bass

A majestic full-sized Upright Bass made in Berlin, 1930 by Adolf Deichsel, the corners are carved in what is allegedly known as “Busseto style,” where they are rounded instead of squared. The back has distinct ebony inlay in upper back and black spade inlay at the corners. Carved flamed maple back and central European spruce.

The advanced patina includes brown oil varnish with age cracks. The bass has repaired f-hole crack and lower top seam repair. The bass has an ebony fingerboard and tailpiece.  Included is a unique built-in passive bridge pickup, with transducers fitted to each individual string, although one might find that the boisterously loud and royal tone is more than enough in most situations!  The bass even comes with a green 4/4 Mooradian bass bag and a bass bow quiver attached to the tailpiece!
