Early 20th Century Herman Lowendall German Violin

This early 20th Century violin is made in Berlin in the style of an 18th century Guarneri. It has beautiful hand sculpted F holes, and a traditional German style amber brown finish; the top is made of high quality spruce, with tight, evenly spaced grain; the two-piece back is highly flamed maple with matching ribs, both of which have a nice, satisfying texture to the touch. The flaming even continues up the neck and the scroll – another great attention to detail! Professional setup makes for quick and satisfying action when playing. Finally, the wonderful patina reflecting its age and rich, clear tones speak to the craftsmanship that went into the making of this quality 100+ year old instrument!
