Jay Haide a L’Ancienne Special (Euro) Maggini Model 15.5″ Viola was made in 2019. This beautiful pre-owned instrument has a spruce top and maple back, neck, and sides, with eye-catching double purfling.  Also features lightly aged red-brown varnish with antiquing on the back and shoulders.  It is strung with Evah Pirazzi Gold Viola strings, elegantly outfitted with ebony fittings, (pegs, chin rest, and end button). The pegs are uniquely flat pumpkin-shaped with black collars and pins. The hill style tailpiece has a black fret, and is made of rosewood. Guarneri style chin rest. Ebony fingerboard. This viola has a very warm, full, and richly played-in sound!
