Core Select Maggini Copy Cello

One can immediately tell at first glance that this cello is unique – broad shoulders, thin, elongated f-holes, and double-purfling. This cello is based on the work of the Giovanni Paolo Maggini (c.1580-1630) of Brescia, Italy, about a half-century before the works of Stradivari and Guarneri became popular. The unique shape of the f-holes and its broader body give this cello a particularly rich and warm tone, especially in the lower register. Made using tonewoods that are cured and aged over several years, this Maggini cello offers professional level quality to any player. Equipped with Pirastro Evah Pirazzi Gold strings.
